Don't forget this Saturday, December 11th, is the Oceanside Boat Parade. The parade starts at 7pm, but you should arrive early to get the best spot and avoid traffic.

I tried to get permission from the OYC to allow our members use of their facility for the parade. Unfortunately their club uses it and fills the balcony with people so their just isn't room for 100 or so OAC members. We do have several members with boats on docks but they have the same problem as the Yacht Club. Every owner of a boat on the docks will be down watching the parade, which makes the docks very crowded, if we bring 100 or so OAC members to the dock it wouldn't be fair to the other boat owners.
With that said, I will be on P-dock from 4pm on, although I can't invite you down to watch the parade, if you would like to stop by on your way to your "spot" feel free to come by and say hello, I may even share a little ice cold Christmas cheer with you.
We may be entering my boat in the parade, if I do I will be leaving the dock around 6:30 pm.

The weatherman says it going to be a beautiful night, bring your loved ones down and enjoy the boat parade.

Since you are coming to the harbor to watch the boat parade anyway, first you should go to our website at www.oceansideanglersclub.com and download the form and sign up for 2011. Stop by Ken's Custom Reels and say hi to the guys while you drop it off. You may decide to go fishing in January and catch a big fish. It would be a shame if you haven't paid your dues and missed out on a jacket because you forgot to send in the membership application.
